Following a successful bid to ACoRP, the Association of Community Rail Partnerships, the Cambrian Railways Partnership working with Arriva Trains Wales have secured funding to provide new display cases at six stations on the Cambrian railway lines.

These new display cases will be installed at Borth, Llandanwg, Morfa Mawddach, Criccieth, Penychain and Tywyn railway stations and will be for use by the local Station Adoptees to raise awareness of their activities and to promote use of the railway locally.

Commenting on the initiative Tony Donovan, Arriva Trains Wales said, "Projects like this provide the local Adoptees with an opportunity to showcase their excellent work and shows how the railway continues to play an integral part in the everyday lives of the communities it serves."

Gerwyn Jones, on behalf of the Cambrian Railways Partnership commented, "The work of the Station Adoptees helps engender a sense of pride and ownership in the stations by the local communities, thus reducing the instances of vandalism, graffiti, dropping of litter and other anti-social behaviour."
