
Railway 200 Community Grant Fund
To celebrate the 200th anniversary of the modern railway, the Cambrian Railway Partnership (CRP) has launched the 2025 Railway 200 Community Grant Fund.
Overview
The fund offers grants of up to £500 (total pot £9,000) to community organisations, charities, and CICs located within six miles of a Cambrian Line stations.
The project supports creative and community-led activities that mark this historic milestone and strengthen local connections. Eligible projects may include artwork, performances, storytelling, photography, heritage displays, or sustainable initiatives inspired by the railway.
Aims
To celebrate the 200th anniversary of the modern railway, marking this historic milestone through creative and community-led projects.
To promote awareness and appreciation of local railway heritage and its role in shaping communities along the Cambrian Line.
To strengthen community identity and engagement by encouraging local groups to collaborate and create projects inspired by the railway.
Objectives
To provide financial support (up to £500) for eligible community organisations, charities, and CICs within six miles (10 km) of a Cambrian Line station.
To encourage creative expression and community participation through activities such as art, performance, storytelling, sustainability projects, and heritage displays related to the railway.
